Outreach

This is my way of giving back to the world.

Aphasia Speaking Groups

Aphasia Teatime

This nonprofit initiative is a personal project where I lead a support group for people with communication disorders.

The aim of the group is to bring together individuals who speak the same language but are isolated due to their language barrier.

As a speech and language therapist, I also share my knowledge with them during meetings.

Aphasia Snapshot

IG post APHASIA.png

Aphasia Snapshots is a short interview series where researchers, clinicians, and people living with aphasia share insights, research, and personal experiences in an accessible way.

I share these videos on my professional Instagram account, where I also post insights from my research in the AI department and raise awareness about aphasia.

Outreach Highschools

As part of the LEAP (Learning, Education, Aspiration, Participation) program, we invited high school students from refugee backgrounds to the university.

We introduced them to techniques used in Cognitive Science research. They explored various tools and participated in short experiments.

The students were highly engaged and inspired by the experience. Seeing the excitement in their eyes was truly rewarding.
