One suitcase, two grammars: What can we conclude about Australian Turkish heritage speakers’ divergent processing of evidentiality?
This study examines the processing of evidentiality in Turkish heritage speakers in Sydney, showing that reduced exposure to Turkish during development leads to insensitivity to evidentiality and lower accuracy compared to another group of speakers called late arrivals.
